All producers and distributors must join an eco-organisation if no individual waste management system is in place (according to the Environment Code: Articles L541-2 and L541-10).

Thus, in accordance with its membership contracts, Ecologic offers contribution price lists to those placing Electrical and Electronic Equipment, Sports and Leisure Equipment and/or DIY and Garden Thermal Equipment on the market.

Modulation of the environmental contribution

We apply environmental contribution modulation criteria, defined in our specifications and approved by the public authorities.

This modulation system allows us to adjust the amount of the contribution according to the efforts made by producers in terms of eco-design. The more sustainable, easily recyclable or designed to reduce its environmental impact at the end of its life a product is, the more the associated contribution can be reduced.

Modulation therefore encourages producers to incorporate responsible practices from the product design stage onwards and to make choices that promote environmental protection throughout the product life cycle.

It is a concrete lever for rewarding eco-responsible initiatives and encouraging the entire market to commit to a sustainable approach.

Please note: In the absence of justification for the eco-modulation criteria, or in case of doubt regarding their application, the least advantageous price is applied in order to guarantee the fairness and transparency of the system.
